About this business
Na jaren als schipper met hun eigen klippers gezeild te hebben, waren Alfred Vellekoop en Sacha Emmerik toe aan een nieuwe uitdaging. Ze kochten een salonbootje, de ‘Mina Mitzi’. Deze salonboot kon wel een restauratie gebruiken en Alfred en Sacha hadden duidelijk voor ogen hoe dit moest gebeuren. De ‘Mina Mitzi’ werd gerestaureerd en heette voortaan ‘Belle van Zuylen’. Met de restauratie van deze salonboot was de oprichting van ‘Rederij Belle’ in 1999 een feit. In de jaren daarna werden meerdere salonboten gerestaureerd waardoor de vloot nu uit 4 salonboten bestaat: ‘Belle van Zuylen’, ‘Dame van Amstel’, ‘Adeline’ en ‘Emma’.
